Zulte Waregem bid rejected for Zhasulan Amir

Zulte Waregem have reportedly had a €500,000 bid rejected for Kazakhstan international Zhasulan Amir.

According to VoetbalNieuws.be, the Belgian club are interested in signing the 19-year-old Ordabasy centre-forward, but their proposal was not enough. Baltika Kaliningrad and Başakşehir are also reportedly following the striker.

Amir has recorded 9 goals and 7 assists in 39 senior appearances for Ordabasy and has already earned two caps for Kazakhstan. His current contract expires on 31 December 2026.

SkyrScout featured Amir in July 2026, highlighting an explosive and genuinely two-footed attacker with elite pace, strong ball-carrying ability and intelligent movement inside the penalty area. Our report concluded that he was ready for the next step in Europe.
