Glasgow and De Rosario combine for 12 goal contributions in perfect Guyana window

Guyana enjoyed a perfect September-October Concacaf Nations League window, and two familiar names were at the centre of it.

Omari Glasgow and Osaze De Rosario combined for 12 individual goal contributions as the Golden Jaguars won all four of their League B matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding only twice.

Glasgow finished the window with three goals and four assists. He supplied two assists in the 2-0 win over the Cayman Islands, scored in the 5-1 victory over Dominica, then produced two goals and two assists as Guyana demolished the same opposition 8-1 in the return fixture.

De Rosario was just as productive while on the pitch. The Sønderjyske striker scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over Puerto Rico, added another against the Cayman Islands, then registered one goal and two assists in the first 5-1 win over Dominica.

He was an unused substitute in the final 8-1 victory, leaving his return at three goals and two assists from three appearances.

The level of opposition needs some context. Guyana are competing in League B, and Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands and Dominica are not among international football’s stronger sides.

Even with that caveat, the output is difficult to ignore.

Glasgow’s three goals take him to 26 senior international goals for Guyana, extending his position as the country’s all-time leading scorer. That is a remarkable total for a 22-year-old who is not simply an out-and-out centre-forward.

Glasgow has regularly been used in wider attacking and midfield roles, particularly from the right, while also operating further forward when required. Different sources list him as a right midfielder, winger or forward, which makes his international scoring record all the more notable.

De Rosario’s numbers are scarcely less striking. The 25-year-old has now reached 16 senior international goals, continuing an exceptional scoring rate since choosing to represent Guyana.

Together, the pair have become a major part of a Guyana side now sitting on maximum points after four Nations League matches.

SkyrScout has scouting profiles on both players, with Glasgow’s profile now joining De Rosario’s in our player database.
