Osaze De Rosario is the son of Dwayne De Rosario, who had an outstanding career in Major League Soccer and with the Canada national team.

De Rosario is a centre-forward with considerable untapped potential. At 189 cm, he combines size and strength with good pace, athleticism and technical ability. He is primarily right-footed, but also shows a reliable left foot.

He has proven capable of scoring goals in lower-ranked senior leagues and has the physical and technical profile to suggest there may still be another step in his development. In terms of playing style and physical qualities, we believe he could be well suited to the Nordic leagues.

De Rosario is a Guyana international.

Career trajectory

Born in San Jose, California, De Rosario developed in North America with the Toronto FC and New York City FC academies before moving to Ukrainian club Rukh Lviv in 2021.

After leaving Rukh in 2022, he returned to Canada and signed for York United in the Canadian Premier League. He scored 12 league goals in his first season and added another 6 in 2023 before joining Tacoma Defiance in March 2024.

In his first season with Tacoma, De Rosario made 23 MLS NEXT Pro appearances and scored 6 goals. At the report date, he remained with Tacoma Defiance and continued to represent Guyana internationally.
