Sampdoria are reportedly trying to sign Fran Topić from Dinamo Zagreb before the transfer window closes.
Germanijak reports that the Serie B side want the 22-year-old winger on loan with an option to buy, with a deal potentially moving quickly on deadline day.
The Croatian outlet also reports that another club could still enter the race for Topić.
Italian outlet SampdoriaNews has since picked up the story and reports the same proposed loan-with-option structure. Its report is based on the Croatian information rather than an independent confirmation of an agreement, so the move should still be treated as an active negotiation rather than a completed transfer.
Dinamo have already opened the door
The development comes only two days after Germanijak reported that Dinamo had told Topić he could look for a new club.
Topić was informed shortly before Dinamo’s 2-2 draw away to Istra 1961 on August 29, although he still came off the bench and played the final half hour.
Dinamo had previously been reported to value him at around €2 million. Germanijak now also reports that Lecce had shown interest recently, but did not agree to that asking price.

A move that could offer a clearer role
SkyrScout profiled Topić in January 2025 during his loan spell with HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.
At the time, he stood out as a dangerous inverted winger and wide forward with genuine two-footed finishing ability, efficient 1v1 play and useful physical presence.
With Dinamo now prepared to let him leave and Sampdoria making a concrete move, Topić could have an opportunity to find a club offering a clearer route to regular senior minutes.
