Charleston Battery striker Colton Swan has been linked with Hibernian after Hibs podcast Longbangers named the 19-year-old as its latest signing scoop.
In its August 14 phone-in, Longbangers says it has information on a new striker signing for Hibs and specifically identifies Swan, discussing what his profile could mean for Hibernian’s attacking options.
No transfer has been announced by Hibernian or Charleston Battery at the time of writing.
There is, however, an established connection between the two clubs. Charleston Battery and Hibernian announced a strategic partnership in November 2020 covering areas including player development and scouting. The agreement was designed to give selected Battery players opportunities in Edinburgh, while Hibernian said the link would help the club expand its scouting activities into new markets.
Charleston also described the partnership as a potential pathway for players capable of progressing to higher levels in European football. The existence of that relationship does not confirm that any potential Swan move is being conducted through the partnership, but it adds notable context to the Longbangers report.
Swan signed a multi-year professional contract with Charleston in January 2026 after previously playing for Colorado Rapids 2 and Indiana University. The 188 cm centre-forward has seven goals and two assists in 15 USL Championship appearances this season.
He has also been part of the United States squad at the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship, featuring four times as the team reached the final and secured qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup and Pan American Games.
