Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign highly rated Georgian attacker Andria Bartishvili.
Geo Team first reported that the 17-year-old is set to travel to London on September 1 for a medical after Arsenal reached an agreement worth €4.5 million.
Fabrizio Romano subsequently confirmed the deal with his trademark “here we go”, reporting that Bartishvili has a medical booked in London next week before signing a five-year contract.
He is set to join Arsenal in 2027 after turning 18.
From formal offer to agreement
The agreement comes just eight days after BBC Sport senior football correspondent Sami Mokbel reported that Arsenal had made a formal pre-contract offer for Bartishvili.
Arsenal’s interest had been developing for several months, but the latest reports represent the most significant step yet, with a fee agreed and a medical now scheduled.
Geo Team also reports that Arsenal have beaten Liverpool in the race for the Georgian prospect.
Bartishvili is currently on loan at Iberia 1999 from FC Kolkheti and has established himself as one of the standout young talents in Georgian football.

SkyrScout first profiled Bartishvili on March 6, highlighting his explosive ball carrying, elite close control, creativity, two-footed technique and ability to operate both as a left winger and attacking midfielder.
At the time, we described him as one of Georgia’s brightest talents and noted that major European interest was already beginning to emerge.
His technical quality and aggressive approach with the ball have also led to comparisons with Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Six months later, Bartishvili now appears set for one of the biggest moves of any young Georgian player, with Arsenal reportedly committing €4.5 million to secure him before he is eligible to move to England.
