Michael Schjønning-Larsen scored his first goal of the new Scottish Premiership season as Kilmarnock suffered a 5-1 home defeat to reigning champions Celtic.
With Kilmarnock trailing 4-0, the Estonia international received the ball on the left in the 56th minute, cut inside onto his right foot and curled an excellent finish into the far corner.
The goal was Schjønning-Larsen’s third in 20 Scottish Premiership appearances since joining Kilmarnock from FCI Levadia at the start of 2026.
His first months in Scotland have seen the attacking full-back establish himself regularly in the Kilmarnock side while continuing to contribute going forward. He scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Hearts in March, found the net again against Dundee in April and added an assist against the same opposition in May.
The new season has started more difficultly for Kilmarnock, with defeats against St Johnstone and Celtic leaving the club without a point after two matches. Schjønning-Larsen has nevertheless started both league games and already has his first goal of the campaign.
The 25-year-old joined Kilmarnock on a contract running until May 2027 after three seasons with FCI Levadia, where he had established himself as one of the leading full-backs in the Estonian Premium Liiga.
