Haydarov makes a central run diagonally from right to left as the ball is worked infield from the right. The receiving player tries to slip a teammate through from the left wing, but the pass is played onto the wrong foot and forces him to stop on the edge of the penalty area.

Haydarov immediately reads the situation and overlaps him at speed. With his back to goal, the teammate spots the run and flicks the ball on with his heel into the box. Haydarov races onto it just inside the area, roughly level with the left post, takes a couple of steps as the ball rolls across his path and then unleashes a thunderous left-footed strike from around 14 metres straight into the top-left corner. The goalkeeper has no chance.
