Robson Matheus is a versatile Bolivian midfielder who can operate both deeper as a playmaker and higher up behind the striker. He is strong in ground duels, technically accomplished and a genuine goal threat from midfield.
His standout weapon is his left foot. Matheus has an excellent passing range, delivers very good crosses and is dangerous from free kicks. He has a distinctive way of striking the ball, often clipping passes or applying heavy backspin, but the technique is both precise and effective.
After an excellent season with Always Ready in 2024, where he also wore the captain’s armband, Matheus joined city rivals Bolívar in January 2025. He has not yet had the same opportunity to fully showcase his qualities at his new club.
Matheus has already earned 11 senior international caps for Bolivia.
