Nicknamed “Sidan” – and not without reason – Sosidan is a diminutive winger at just 165 cm, but one who compensates with electric pace, exceptional balance, and elite dribbling ability. He glides across the pitch with rapid, fluid weight shifts, consistently wrong-footing defenders and creating separation in tight spaces. A true technician, his left foot is his standout weapon: precise, powerful, and highly reliable in shooting situations.

Sosidan is a major set-piece threat, delivering world-class quality from both free kicks and corners, regularly producing goals and assists. His vision and passing range are outstanding for a wide player, allowing him to dictate play from advanced areas rather than merely stretching the pitch. While clearly left-foot dominant, his right foot is notably serviceable – more dependable than that of many one-footed specialists.

Despite his stature, Sosidan contributes defensively with a strong work rate and wins a fair share of ground duels. Naturally, aerial duels are not part of his game, but his anticipation and effort without the ball help compensate.

Areas for improvement

Given his technical level, pace, and creativity, Sosidan has the tools to deliver even greater end product. Increasing his consistency in goals and assists would elevate him from an exciting talent to a truly decisive one.

Career trajectory and current form

A product of Tiffy Army FC’s academy, Sosidan made his senior debut in 2021 in Cambodia’s top tier and quickly established himself as a standout performer. His performances earned him a move in July 2024 to Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng – one of Cambodia’s biggest clubs and based in his hometown. Despite initial doubts about his playing time due to the club’s reliance on foreign players, Sosidan has proven his value and become a source of pride for Cambodian supporters through consistent contributions.

Transfer outlook

While Cambodia sits 23rd in the AFC league rankings, the league has produced several intriguing talents – Sosidan among the most exciting. A move to Europe appears unlikely in the short term, especially given that even elite regional talents such as Arif Aiman have yet to make that leap. However, Sosidan clearly possesses the quality to compete in a significantly stronger AFC league and should be on the radar of ambitious clubs across Asia looking for a game-changing wide attacker.
