Mohamed Saliou Bangoura, born 10 June 2004 in Guinea, enjoyed a prolific 2023/24 season with Hafia FC, recording 20 goals and 14 assists in 27 matches.

MC Alger signed him on 5 February 2025 for a reported fee of $400,000, with a 30% sell-on clause included in the deal. He made an immediate impact in Algeria, scoring 7 goals in 13 appearances before suffering a serious ankle fracture in training in July 2025.

After several months on the sidelines, Bangoura returned to action in late November as a substitute against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.

In the Christmas episode of Scout of This World, published on 17 December 2025, Scout Pilgrim highlighted Bangoura as an extra player recommendation — a “Christmas gift” to the listeners. He described him as a physically strong 183 cm centre-forward with excellent pace, good technique and outstanding finishing ability.
